Epic LipSync: Broadway Edition

It’s time for Epic Lip Sync Broadway Edition 2018!

How it works: First, we pick a song. Click the links below to vote for a song. $1=1 vote and you can vote as many times as you wish. Song with the most votes on November 15 will be the one we perform. Vote counts are updated weekly.

This years winning song is: The Cell Block Tango! It received 187 votes!

Step 2: Then on November 27, our board and staff members will compete head to head on Giving Tuesday, our biggest fundraiser of the year. The person who raises the most money will get to pick which LAT board and staff members have to perform the lip sync.

Now it’s time to decide who gets to decide who is in the video. Below, is a link to each board/staff members fundraising page. Person who raises the most between today and November 27 is the winner.

Becca’s Vision

My vision for the song is to have D Norris choreograph, and have 6 ladies. One of them will be Andre Eaton in a dress lol! We are going to try and perform it as seriously as possible, with a few funny twists thrown in.

Chitra’s Vision

An Indian classical dance rendition based on prison/murder mystery movies.

Ed’s Vision
Lee’s Vision
mere’s Vision

The six merry ladies of the local senior center’s knitting circle in their rendition of the Cell Block Tango.

andrea’s Vision

Six ladies of Shakespeare perform the Cell Block Tango. The specific ladies would be Beatrice (Much Ado), Juliet (Romeo & Juliet), Viola (12th Night), Cordelia ( King Lear), Desdemona (Othello), and Rosalind (As You Like It). Other possibilities include Ophelia (Hamlet), Kate (Taming of the Shrew), Lady MacBeth (MacBeth), and Portia (Merchant of Venice).

michael’s Vision

Video is shot in Black and White. The six ladies are characters¬†(variations on the word ‘cell’, both objects and the people who use them):

Red Blood Cell
Plant Cell
Cell phone

Step 3: In December we film the Epic Lip Sync and put it on YouTube for your viewing pleasure.

While you’re waiting, check out our video from last year.
