Common Guest Questions

Our Shows

do i need an ID/proof of age to be admitted to the show?

We have developed a rating system to inform our guests as to the content of each of our productions. In most cases, there is no age requirement for admittance to a Live Arts show. It is the responsibility of the guest to determine suitability of any given production for themselves or their family. Our rating system provides a recommendation for each of our shows. More information is available here.

All of our guests, regardless of age must have their own ticket.

is there food available on site?

Live Arts Theatre offers concessions by donation. Items available include candy, bagged snacks, soda, water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. All items can be consumed in the theatre.

what time do the doors open

The box office opens one hour prior to each performance. The doors to the theatre open 30 minutes to each performance.

how do i know where my seat is?

Live Arts currently performs in a small black box theatre, and all seating is first come first served general admission.

what should i wear?

Live Arts Theater does not have an official dress code for attending our performances. Our patrons usually come in what could be considered business casual clothing, however we would encourage people to come, even if it’s in jeans and a t-shirt.

how long is the performance?

Performance running times are posted during the week leading up to the opening of each production. You will find this information on the Current Show page.

do you serve beer and wine?

In compliance with state and local laws, we do not currently serve or allow alcohol at our productions. We hope to be able to offer this in the future.

My friend is in the show! Can i bring them flowers and hang out backstage?

For the safety of our staff, cast, crew, and guests, we do not allow anyone other than cast and crew backstage. The actors come out into the lobby after the show and you can offer your congratulations then.

Where can i purchase a recording of the show?

Due to the various copyright regulations associated with producing live theatre, you cannot purchase a recording of the show. Recording (audio, video or otherwise) and photos of any kind during the show are prohibited at all times.

how do i know if the show is appropriate for my child or teen? is there an age limit?

We believe that parents are the best judge of what content is suitable for their children and teens. To better assist parents in making these decisions, we have developed a rating system for our productions. In most cases, all attendees will be admitted, and other than posting the show rating at the box office and on our website, Live Arts Theatre is not responsible for the suitability of content for any particular guest. You can learn more about our rating system here.

can i use my cell phone or tablet during the performance?

No. Our theatre is extremely small, and the glow from the screen of your device can be seen from stage and is incredibly distracting to the actors, technicians, and other patrons around you. We request that you turn off all devices prior to the show beginning. We encourage you to text, Facebook, and tweet everyone you know about how much you enjoyed the show from the lobby at the conclusion of the performance.

am i allowed to take photos during the show?

No. Copyright prohibits the taking of unauthorized photos during the show. Also, flash photography can be distracting to our actors. The actors will come out into the lobby after the show, and you are welcome to take photos with them at that time.

what if i’m running late?

It is our policy to start the show on time. Please call our box office at 603-867-2200 to advise us if you are running late, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our theatre is general admission seating, so we suggest that you arrive 15-30 minutes prior to show time to give yourself enough time to pick up your tickets and select your seats. Due to the layout of our theatre, we may have difficulty seating you once the show has begun. We will wait until an appropriate break in the performance and seat you at that time. This may not be possible for some performances.
