Meredith has spent three years working with Creative Circus, an advertising school, as their art director. She currently serves as their Creative Director. Meredith also currently serves on the Communications Committees of both McKendree UMC and the Gwinnett GOP. Meredith has served on the board since 2012 and is currently serving on the Strategic Plan committee.
Andrea Hermitt is an Artist, a Writer, and an Education Advocate. She has blogged professionally for homeschooling and other informational websites for over a decade. She has also educated her own children in a way that heavily incorporated the arts. She found Live Arts Theatre through her love for costuming and set work, which is a wonderful application of artistic talents. She joined the board to help further the mission of creating a community focused teaching theatre. Andrea has served on the board since 2015 and currently chairs the governance committee.
After serving in various capacities for several years, Michael Parker is currently serving as Secretary of the board of Live Arts Theatre. Michael served as Co-Chair of the Board from 2010-2015, rotating off the board for the 2015-16 season. Michael has a degree in Music Composition and History as well as Voice from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music of Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Michael has performed nationally and internationally both with the ensembles of Shenandoah University as well as various choruses in the Washington DC area such as the Washington Chorus and Choral Arts Society of Washington. He is currently a tenor with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and teaches Chorus and Theatre at Sutton Middle School in Atlanta. Theatrically, Michael has performed onstage as well as various backstage roles. Michael was responsible for mounting the first production granted by R&H Theatricals of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas in a community theatre at the Apollo Theatre in Martinsburg, WV. Michael is a native son of the Buford/Sugar Hill area and has returned to be closer to his family and bring the experience of live theatre to his home town. Michael is currently serving on the Fundraising committee.
Randall Avery is an experienced financial advisor with over 10 years of finance and accounting experience. He has worked with some of the most prestigious companies in Atlanta including Turner Broadcasting, Georgia-Pacific, Auto Trader, and Invesco. From a young age, Randall has had a passion for learning about money and helping organizations and individuals reach their financial goals. Randall received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Georgia State University. Randall Avery joined the Live Arts board in 2016, chairs the Finance committee and is currently serving on the Governance committee.
Kerry has been playing trumpet for over 50 years and has performed with and/or produced concerts with multiple ensembles, recording artists, bands, and orchestras while performing on over 80 records, CDs, and DVDs. He was the Founder of the Zephyr Brass Choir, a founding members of the Zephyr Brass Quintet, and the founder of Zephyr Instrumental. One of Kerry’s greatest memories was performing in trios with Rafael Mendez, possible the finest trumpeter the world has known. As President of Fetter Enterprises, Inc., which owns Zephyr Music, Inc. he is responsible for the development of the Zephyr family of groups as well as various other artists and artistic endeavors, including production of all recorded media. He is also the owner/President of Creative Media Atlanta, a production company based in Atlanta, GA. Kerry, who joined the Live Arts board in 2016, has served on many boards, including, past-president of the Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde, Atlanta Producers Association, Live Arts Theatre and is a member of ASCAP. Kerry is the founder and a founding member of Zephyr Instrumental and the Zephyr Brass Quintet. Kerry is currently serving on the Strategic Plan committee.
Chitra has served on the board since 2016, and is currently chairing the Events committee and serves on the Governance Committee. Chitra Sampath is a financial consultant for over 5 years for public utilities specializing in Accounting, Budgeting, and Finance. She is an Industrial Engineer Graduate from Georgia Tech and holds a Finance MBA from Keller Graduate School. Chitra’s passion for the arts started at 10 years old when she began learning Indian Classical Dance. Chitra joined Live Arts Theatre to help people realize the impact of a teaching arts program on the local community through creative initiatives.
Edward Thompson is a professional in the field of government contracting and investigation. He brings years of experience with various non-profit and volunteer organizations. He started as a patron, walked on stage, and then decided he enjoyed it so much he would join the board! Ed has served on the board since 2016.
