If you are a regular here a Live Arts Theatre, you will recognize Mr. Edward Thompson from previous roles he has portrayed on or stage. This time last year, he was in It’s a Wonderful Life (a radio show) and is now coming full circle with A Christmas Carol, The Radio Show. You will also recognize him from Hot L Baltimore, where he played ‘Suzy’s John’ and The Spoon River Character, where he played multiple roles. Most recently Edward has become confirmed family here at Live Arts Theatre by joining the board.
Edward Thompson is playing the roles of Fezziwig & others/ Jake Laurents in A Christmas Carol. Here is some more information that he was gracious enough to share with us:
Q: Do you have any fun facts you’d like to share?
A: I am getting my Master’s degree in Management.
Q: What attracted you to audition for A Christmas Carol?
A: Why I auditioned – I did the sister show last year, and I loved it so much!
Q: What is your approach to playing multiple characters?
A: I find that you have to divide and conquer. I master one character completely then move on to the next one.
Q: Why should audiences come see A Christmas Carol?
A: This show is fabulously unique and has some wonderful charm, especially from the Foley acting (sound effects) and the humorous jingles/commercials!
Q: What excites you the most about A Christmas Carol?
A: I am most excited about a chance to work with the wonderful cast and crew this theater has to offer.
