Live Arts Theatre is proud to present Alyson Rubin to our stage! Her background in theatre includes 6 years of training with Brian Baer and attending the Stella Adler Conservatory Teen program. Her most recent shows have been “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged,” “Ash Girl,” and “Romeo and Juliet.”
Alyson will be playing the role of Ruth in Miracle on South Division Street. Let’s get to know a little more about her:
Q: Is this your first show at Live Arts, and have you done any other shows with us?
A: This is my first show with Live Arts.
Q: Name two fun facts about you:
A: 1. I love vintage and period piece things as well as old music and movies. 2. At one point I could play almost every song from the 2007 Pride and Prejudice movie on the piano.
Q: What can audiences look forward to in Miracle on South Division St?
A: Audiences can look forward to a show that’ll share the importance of accepting and embracing the truth even if it changes everything.
Q: What can you relate to your character in Miracle on South Division St.?
A: My character and I both have had many secrets. Ruth and my beliefs majorly differ from those of our family, but still hold our family near and dear to our hearts. We both have Eastern European Jewish ancestry and my character and I both admire the works of Eve Ensler.
Q: What excites you the most about Miracle on South Division St.?
A: What excites me most about the show is the beautiful story and the incredible characters and how quirky, yet relatable the Nowack’s are.
Miracle on South Division Street is the second show in our 2017-1018 season themed, Look again (things aren’t what they seem).
