It’s opening night at Live Arts Theatre. The curtain rises in just a few hours for our 2017 children’s show! Come support the kids!
We are excited to welcome McKenna Winebaum, who is making her Live Arts debut in Rumplestiltskin. McKenna is 12 years old and a 7th grader at Sutton Middle School, and has been seen in shows such as Grease, Frog and Toad, Dear Edwina, Madeliene’s Christmas, and The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon. McKenna is playing Laurie/The Millers Wife in our production of Rumplestiltskin.
Here are her answers to our probing questions:
Q: Name 2 fun facts about yourself:
A: I am a really good singer and I can do random things with my eyes.
Q: Why did you want to be a part of Rumplestiltskin?
A: Mostly because Mr.Parker, whenever he tells me about a new play, they’re always so awesome. So when he told me about Rumplestiltskin, I knew it would be awesome.
Q: Why should audiences come see it?
A: Because it’s a really really fun, enthusiastic show, where the audience can be part of it as well. The audience will have just as much fun as we do.
Q: What do audiences have to look forward to?
A: Being active in the show as well, where the actors come to you and get your advice. It’s a very interactive show.
Q: In what ways are you like your character?
A: I mess up everything! Really, she’s a very funny character who messes stuff up a lot, but she always fixes it in a funny way.
Q: What do you enjoy doing when you are not onstage?
A: Singing, hanging out with Ellie and finding new ways to boost my acting career .
