Rob Frisina, who is playing Bill Lewis for The Hot L Baltimore, started acting in church plays at the age of 9. He took private acting lessons in middle school, and participated in high school theatre classes from grades 10 through 12.  Since graduating from high school in 2007, he has performed in several rock bands in various venues throughout Georgia, mostly in Atlanta and Duluth.  His day job involves working for Artome, a children’s show art coordinator, where he manufactures frames to feature the artwork.

Live Arts theatre is glad that Rob Frisina has decided to return to the stage for our production of The Hot L Baltimore!  You can learn a little more about him and the show through his answers to our interview questions:

Is this your first show with Live Arts? If not, what are some of the other shows you have done with us?

This is my first show with Live Arts and I couldn’t be more excited!

Hot L Baltimore is set in the 1970’s. (If you were alive) Name something you liked about the 1970’s.

I wasn’t alive in the 70s, but I love the music! Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and the Who are some of my favorite bands.

Name something about the 1970’s that you would bring back and why.

Again the music, but to be more specific, Led Zeppelin in their prime. I would have loved to see them in concert in the 70s.

Name two fun facts about you.

1) I play guitar in a rock band with fellow cast member Branden Parisi and stage manager Paul Franklin 2) I am currently writing and drawing my own graphic novel.

What can audiences look forward to with Hot L Baltimore and why should they come see it?

The audience can look forward to a hysterical, mature audience intended play, filled with many colorful characters and the hilarious chaos they create. They should come see it because everyone involved in this play is so talented and dedicated, it will be a guaranteed good time!

How does your character compare to you?

Before working at Artome, when I still worked in retail, I too had little patience and lots of frustration for some customers I had to interact with. Only difference is I was better at hiding my frustration than Bill is.

What excites you the most about the Hot L Baltimore?

Not only finally returning to theater for the first time in 9 years, but doing so while working with my good friends, Paul and Kendal Franklin, Branden Parisi, Spencer Estes and Heather Murray.
