Live Arts Theatre is absolutely delighted to have Edward Thompson grace our stage for the second time this season (actually ever). Edward has a BA in political science, and his day job involves background investigating. Previously, a patron of the theatre, Edward has been bitten by the acting bug, and has been cast as “Suzy’s John” for The Hot L Baltimore.
As a new actor, and a business person, Edward brings with him both an enthusiasm and a professionalism that is infectious to those who work with him. Live Arts Theatre staff and artists hope to continue witnessing Edward’s growth as a performer and participant in the arts!
Let’s get to know him a little better:
Is this your first show with Live Arts and what are some of the other shows you have done with us? This is my second show with Live Arts Theatre. I was in It’s a Wonderful Life in December 2015.
The Hot L Baltimore is set in the 1970’s. (If you were alive) Name something you liked about the 1970’s.
I was not alive then, but some of the music isn’t bad from that era.
Name two fun facts about you.
I am a master fantasy football player (won 4 championships in the last 2 seasons), and
- I enjoy video games extensively.
What can audiences look forward to with Hot L Baltimore and why should they come see it?
The Hot L Baltimore It is a laugh riot! Very raunchy and vulgar, but a very cleaver and funny show.
How does your character compare to you?
My character does not compare to me at all, since I have never been a John……
What excites you the most about High Hot L Baltimore?
I am enjoying seeing the cast gel and also witnessing the funny scenes I’ve read come to life.
