Members Dates

It’s that time of year again! Per our new bylaws, our Annual members meeting will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 6:30-8:30pm at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. We will have a potluck, and then members will have the opportunity to vote for 26-27 Board and our new strategic plan at the meeting.

May 10, 2026   Last day to update membership to run for a 25-26 Board position/re-election
May 19, 2026   Board nominations open. (updated to reflect new bylaws)
June 2, 2026   Board nominations close. (updated to reflect new bylaws)
June 7, 2026   Board nominees and resolutions posted to the LAT website. (added to reflect new bylaws)
June 9, 2026   Last day to update membership to vote in 25-26 board election

How it works:

Nominations for Board and for Lively Awards will be done through the LAT website. The link to submit a nomination will appear in the Members area of the LAT website sometime on the day that nominations open and will disappear on the day they close.
Anyone may submit a nomination.
You can access the members area here: http://liveartstheatre.org/members/

Once nominations have closed, the nominations committee will verify each nomination. For Board they will verify that the person nominated was a sustaining member as of May 10, 2026, and that they wish to run for a board position.
For Lively Awards, they will compare the names of the nominees with the official list of who did what during the 25-26 season.

In accordance with our new bylaws passed in October, 2025, the official start of board voting will be at the Annual Members meeting to be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Ballots will be electronic as they have been in the past, and Ipads will be available at the meeting for folks to vote. All members not present at the meeting will receive a ballot on July10. For Lively Awards, all members will receive a ballot by email on August 7. Only ballots submitted by 11:55pm on the date voting closes will be counted. If you do not receive a ballot, you contact Becca Parker who can fix it for you. Her email is beccaparker@liveartstheatre.org. In addition, Andre Eaton Jr. can also fix it for you. His email is andreeatonjr@liveartstheatre.org.

Board Nominees

Barbara Stitt-Allen

Barbara is running for re-election to the Board. She has served since 2020. She has a background in grants administration and is running for re-election because she believes in the mission and goals of LAT.

Rich Hammett

Rich is running for re-election to the Board. He has served since 2020. Rich currently serves as Secretary of the LAT Executive Committee. Rich cares deeply about the theatre and is a hard worker who brings his attention to detail to all he does. He is running for re-election because he agrees with the artistic and social goals of the theater and wants to help the theater meet them. He has, and continues to serve LAT in many ways including directing readings, as an actor, stage manager, and assistant director, building and striking sets, and cooking desserts for the cake walk.

Rodney L. Johnson

Rodney is running for re-election to the Board. He has served since 2020 and currently serves as Co-Chair of the LAT Executive Committee. He feels his experience leading the LAT Board is his greatest qualification. He’s running for re-election because he would like to participate in seeing this theater rise to a whole new level. In addition he has served LAT as a Director, Actor, Crew member, and designer.

Ballot Resolutions

Resolution #1: Motion to adopt the 2026-2031 Strategic Plan as passed by the LAT Board of Directors on May 9, 2026. The plan will run from September 1, 2026-August 31, 2031 and will replace the plan which is set to expire on August 31, 2025.
